Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Your privacy matters to us. We handle sensitive documents – passports, Social Security numbers, income and family details – so we collect only what we need to provide the service, and we protect it carefully. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and what your rights are, in line with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations.
1. Who we are
US Paperwork (הניירת האמריקאית) is a private service owned by Bar Hamber and operated from Israel ("we"). We are responsible for information collected through uspaperwork.com, WhatsApp, email and in the course of our service. Privacy questions: [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Contact details – name, phone number, email address and the content of messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email.
- Information needed for the service – depending on the service: identifiers (name, date of birth, passport number, Israeli ID, SSN or ITIN), details of family members and children, birth and marriage certificates, income and payslips, bank details for receiving a refund, prior tax returns, and citizenship or residence records of parents and grandparents.
- Technical data from the website – IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and clicks on contact buttons, collected with cookies and measurement tools (see section 6).
You are not legally required to give us information. Without the necessary information, however, we cannot prepare the forms or returns you asked for.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service you requested: eligibility checks, preparing returns and forms, and support with the IRS, the US Embassy and Consulate and US immigration services.
- To communicate with you about your file, deadlines and payment.
- To meet legal obligations, including record-keeping duties that apply to tax return preparers in the US and Israel.
- To improve the website and measure advertising, using statistical data only.
Tax return information: we do not use or disclose information from your tax return for any purpose other than preparing and filing it, except with your express written consent or as permitted under Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code. We do not sell personal information or use it to market third-party products.
4. Who we share it with
- US authorities – the IRS, the Department of State, the US Embassy and Consulate, and US Citizenship and Immigration Services – only on your instruction and as part of the service.
- Service providers working for us – tax preparation and e-filing software, email and cloud storage (Google), website hosting (Cloudflare), messaging (WhatsApp by Meta), and measurement and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta). They receive only what they need to do their job.
- Licensed professionals – when a case requires it, for example an Enrolled Agent or CPA, under a duty of confidentiality.
- As required by law – if we are required to disclose by court order or statute.
5. International transfers
By the nature of the service, some information is transferred to the United States – to US authorities and to service providers whose servers are in the US or Europe. These transfers are made to provide the service you requested and in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations.
6. Cookies and measurement
The website uses Google Analytics cookies to understand how many people visit and what interests them, and may use Google Ads and Meta tags to measure whether an ad led to an inquiry. These tools do not receive the content of your messages or any documents. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the site will keep working normally.
7. How long we keep it
Case files and tax returns are generally kept for up to 7 years after the work ends, so we can help with IRS inquiries and meet record-keeping duties. Inquiries that did not become engagements are deleted within two years. You may request earlier deletion, subject to our legal obligations.
8. Security
We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted website connections, two-step verification on our accounts, need-to-know access and storage of documents in secure cloud services only. Please avoid sending sensitive documents over unencrypted channels when a secure upload link is available. No system is completely immune; in the event of a serious security incident we will act as the law requires, including notifying the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority and you where needed.
9. Your rights
- To review the information we hold about you (section 13 of the law).
- To ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date (section 14 of the law).
- To opt out of marketing messages at any time.
Send any request to [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
10. Children
Children's details are provided to us only by their parents or guardians and are used only for the service the parent requested on their behalf.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its update date, will always appear on this page.
